UAE Casino: First look at Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah

The developers of the inaugural casino resort in the UAE have revealed the initial glimpse and a new name for the groundbreaking multi-billion-dollar property. Wynn Resorts has disclosed that the eagerly awaited resort in Ras Al Khaimah will be known as Wynn Al Marjan Island. The renowned global hospitality company has also presented the design concept for its first-ever beachfront resort, drawing inspiration from the serene seascape of Al Marjan Island, a cluster of four islands.

Collaborating with local partners Marjan LLC and RAK Hospitality Holding, the resort is set in a pristine location overlooking the Arabian Gulf, soaring 305 meters above the sea. Wynn Al Marjan Island aims to provide visitors with a premium luxury experience, encompassing entertainment and gaming facilities. With an estimated project cost of around $3.9 billion, the iconic silhouette of Wynn Al Marjan Island is poised to elevate the Emirate’s status as a major global tourist destination and contribute significantly to the economy through tourism and job creation.

Initiating foundation construction earlier this year, the resort will showcase the brand’s distinctive design in its approximately 1,500 rooms, suites, and villas. Anticipated attractions include a diverse range of entertainment options, a gaming area, 24 dining and lounge experiences, innovative spa and wellness facilities, a high-end shopping esplanade, a state-of-the-art events center, a theater hosting a unique production show, and various other amenities.

Designed to accommodate both extended stays and day trips from neighboring emirates, Wynn Al Marjan Island promises abundant and layered experiences, featuring nightly state-of-the-art laser and light shows. The resort’s design draws inspiration from the natural surroundings and Wynn Resorts’ leading design aesthetic, with the curved shape of the beach mirrored in the podium structure, reminiscent of a grand opera house, providing majestic views of the beach, sea, and horizon. Additionally, every diner along the beach-facing promenade at Wynn Al Marjan Island is ensured sweeping views of the sea.
